The building blocks that Bob Bray created when he entered the financial services industry in 1984 provided the strong foundation for his dedicated customer base and successful tenure in the business. From the beginning of his career, Bob developed customer portfolios with a long-term outlook. Measured and practical advice led to rewards: Bob has had the luxury of seeing many of his earliest customers enter retirement. His large ensemble of clients has provided a continuous stream of referrals for Bob and word of mouth from his grateful customers has been his primary marketing tool.
Bob came to Florida from Connecticut, enrolling in Stetson University in Deland. He graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration. After graduation, Bob developed his sales expertise selling cable packages for Group W. Cable, the company that would later become Bright House Networks. Bob spent 2 ½ years with Group W. in Deland, and was quickly promoted to Sales Supervisor.
With solid sales experience under his belt, Bob established his roots in financial service, spending 21 years with Prudential Insurance in Tampa. Bob ranked consistently in the top 10% of producers and sales managers, focusing on auto, home, life insurance and investments. In 2005, Bob joined Tilchin Financial and continues to offer a myriad of insurance options, retirement benefits and investment securities at Jaffe Tilchin Wealth Management.
Bob is a Chartered Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant. He holds licenses in property and casualty (220) and health and life insurance (215). A licensed Series 6 and Series 65 advisor, his offerings include mutual funds and annuities, trust and estate services and corporate insurance benefits. Bob’s assistant, Betsy Sevilla, has partnered with him since 2001. As a team, Bob and Betsy have developed lasting, long-term relationships with clients who appreciate their sound advice and careful tracking. On the weekends, Bob teaches Sunday school to elementary-aged students. He resides in Tampa with his wife, Norma, and 3 children.
