A 3rd generation Floridian, Scott knew early on that he wanted to pursue a career in the financial services industry. He graduated from H.B. Plant High School, and then earned a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Risk Management and Insurance at Florida State University in 1983. Recruited by Prudential after graduation as an insurance agent, Scott was soon promoted to the position of Sales Manager. In 1997, Scott joined Tilchin Financial, seeking independence and the ability to offer his clients a broader variety of choices in their insurance and investment products. His focus soon gravitated to the investment side of the business, where he has developed solid relationships with clients who not only remain loyal, but regularly refer their friends and colleagues to him.

In 2007, with the formation of Jaffe Tilchin Wealth Management, Scott primarily assumed a supervisory role to the investment team. Scott still maintains a book of business and has a variety of clients from professional individuals to small business owners.

Married since July, 1990, he has 2 daughters. Scott is an amateur athlete who “loves to have fun.” His long list of hobbies includes fishing, softball, running, biking, swimming, golf and just hanging out and enjoying the company of his family and friends. Despite all of his outside interests, Scott believes that his daily work with clients is even more gratifying. He insists that – even if he had all the money in the world – he will never retire.
